AFFING – 20 October 2017 – the jury of the renowned German Design Award 2018 has bestowed an award on the new Secvest Touch wireless alarm system from ABUS in recognition of its combination of outstanding design and first-rate intrusion protection. The Secvest Touch combines mechatronic intrusion protection, video verification, access control, remote control via app and menu guidance with voice prompts.
Mechatronic intrusion protection has never looked as good as the new ABUS Secvest Touch wireless alarm system, and victory in the globally renowned German Design Awards 2018 underscores the motto ‘Design meets security’ used by ABUS to describe the outstanding features of the Secvest Touch. But it was not only the elegant exterior that won over the international jury; the judges were also impressed with the inner qualities shown. Thanks to its unique mechatronic intrusion protection system, the Secvest is the only alarm system in the world capable of keeping intruders at bay while simultaneously calling for help during a break-in attempt. If a perpetrator attempts entry via a window equipped with mechatronic protection, they are met with over a tonne of resistance while an alarm is raised at the same time. In most cases, this will be sufficient to deter perpetrators immediately, preventing them from gaining access to the building at all.
“We are delighted that the Secvest Touch has been recognised with this German Design Award 2018 as we attach the utmost importance to both intuitive operation and a clear design language during product design”, explains Benjamin Pflaum, Managing Director at ABUS Security-Center. “Having already won the Golden Protector Award and the Plus X Award for ‘Best Product of the Year’ for the Secvest wireless alarm system, this represents another triumph for ABUS’ wireless alarm systems”, adds Pflaum.
