AFFING – 3 December 2019 – ABUS can already look back on a long series of high-caliber awards this year that the company has won for its electronic security technology, including the renowned Red Dot Design Award 2019 and the iF Design Award 2019. The ABUS Mini Smoke Detector GRWM30600, current “Testsieger” (i.e. “winner”) of the Stiftung Warentest (issue 01/2018), is now the clear winner in a comparative test conducted by the German ETM Test Magazine.
More than 500 people in Germany die every year from the consequences of a fire, 95% of them from inhaling toxic smoke, since also the sense of smell “sleeps” at night. Smoke detectors are therefore real lifesavers. The ETM Test Magazine put eight smoke detectors through their paces in the 12/2019 issue and voted the ABUS GRWM30600 model the overall test winner with the grade "good".
Small, but powerful
The ABUS Mini Smoke Detector GRWM30600 "[...] can shine in all disciplines; above all, it needs the least time of all models to detect the smoke", according to the positive account of the testers. The handling and the extensive included equipment are also praised.
"We are very pleased that our smoke detector, which already received the best mark of 2.2 in the Stiftung Warentest smoke detector test last year, was again able to convince as test winner", says ABUS company spokesman Florian Lauw.
