7" Home Video Surveillance Set Touch & App (Art. no. TVAC16001A)

The complete set contains everything you need to put the product into operation: a wireless outdoor camera for 24/7 operation and a 7" wireless monitor with an intuitive touchscreen for easy operation. Ideal for private homes, restaurants, offices, and small businesses. It is also easy to monitor a vacant vacation home using remote access.

Large monitor, seamless images, easy operation
The clear monitor image serves as a surveillance center. This allows you to keep an eye on everything. You operate the device with a user-friendly recorder menu on a touchscreen. This makes operation of the video set easy and fast. Recordings are made to an SD card in the monitor.

Docking station: Remote access using the smart phone app
Thanks to remote access, you always see what is going on – even when you are on the go. To do this, you only need to download the ABUS app and “park” the monitor in the docking station (which simultaneously charges the battery). As soon as the Internet connection is established, you can use the app to view live images of all cameras.

Wireless digital encryption
The image and sound are transmitted between the camera and monitor on a secure basis. This excludes the possibility of third parties viewing the images or listening in.

Expandable to up to four wireless cameras
The complete set includes the monitor and one wireless camera. The monitor can be connected with up to four cameras, so you can add up to three additional cameras.

Limitations
The monitor and cameras are bound to each other. The monitor cannot be operated with other cameras and vice versa. The wireless camera requires an electrical socket for connecting the power supply unit. An electrician can provide this for you if required.

The effective IR range will depend on the installation location. If there are surfaces that absorb light or no objects that reflect IR light in the field of view, the IR range will be reduced and/or the video image will be too dark. Reflective objects in the immediate vicinity of the camera (e.g. roof gutter or wall) may also result in the reflection of IR light, which can disturb the image.

Camera integration

Setup of the mobile access via app

No, you can only access the live image via the app.

When making a new internet connection, a port between 1024 – 65535 is automatically used.

Please check the following:

  1. Is the monitor in the docking station?
  2. Is the docking station connected to the network?
  3. Do you have an internet connection?
  4. Have you connected the monitor to the internet? Please note the following icon XX at the top edge of the monitor (what icon? must be integrated on the website)
  5. Does your password for the monitor match the password for the app?
  6. Do you have an internet connection to your mobile phone?

The website http://23.23.185.237/cgi-bin/didtest.cgi must be called up in Explorer. After entering the DID (The DID address is the hardware address and is the unique identifier for the device. You can find this in your monitor's network information or on the product label) you get the IP address and the port.
Please note that the IP address is not permanent. It changes daily (dynamic IP address).

Yes, 4 cameras can record in parallel but without audio.

Yes, images and sound are encrypted and transmitted wirelessly and digitally between the camera and monitor.

Yes, the icons are then hidden on the monitor. This, however, has no effect on the recording.

No, the device does not have any outputs to connect it to another monitor.

No, the set does not include a memory card.

The TVAC16000 7'' home video surveillance set, touch & app, only functions with cameras with the item number TVAC16010. Cameras from other systems cannot be incorporated because the systems have varying technical requirements.

No, because a camera can only ever be paired directly with one monitor (camera(s) and monitor form a pair).

No. A maximum of one day can be programmed with the timer. The first setting must be until 12:00 PM (00:00h), the second program must be from 00:01 AM (00:01h).

The resolution is 320 x 240 pixels. Depending on the internet connection, up to 15 frames per second are transmitted (15 fps).

Yes, with the firmware update A.2.2.6 cyclic recording (endless recording by overwriting older recordings) is possible.

The key lock is probably activated. Press the power button for at least five seconds.

Please check that the sensitivity function of the motion detection is switched on.

To view videos on the PC, you need a playback program supporting AVI file formats (e.g. Quick Time Player, VLC Player, Windows Media Player).

No, these cameras are only suitable for the 7'' home video surveillance set, touch & app (TVAC16000), and cannot be incorporated in another recorder.

Yes, the name of the app is “App2Cam”. The app is free of charge to you and compatible with iPhone and Android.

Pairing creates the exclusive, encrypted wireless connection between the monitor and camera.
To connect a camera with the monitor, proceed as follows:

  1. Connect the camera and the monitor to the power supply.
  2. In the monitor menu, select “Camera”, then “Pairing” and the required camera (1-4). The system counts down from 60 seconds.
  3. During the 60 seconds, press the PAIRING button on the camera cable until the green LINK LED on the front of the camera starts flashing.
  4. Once the connection is established, the LINK LED on the camera is lit up continuously

An installation video for this can be found here soon.

Should there be no signal, please check the following:

  1. Is the camera connected to the power supply (does the LED glow red)?
  2. Is the monitor charged?
  3. Are camera and monitor paired (see question above "What does pairing monitor and camera mean and how does it work?")?
  4. Is the camera within reach of the monitor?
  5. Is the signal between camera and monitor disturbed?

Please check the following:

  1. The camera has no power supply.
  2. Briefly press the pairing button on the camera while the monitor counts down from 60.
  3. Please press the pairing button for a short time only, not continuously.
  4. Restart the monitor.

Possible reasons are:

  1. Are the date and time set correctly?
  2. Is the SD card locked (Lock/Unlock?), not inserted or empty?
  3. Have you formatted the SD card? It must be formatted before it is first used.
  4. No movement was detected.
