AFFING – 18 September 2018 – ABUS presents different solutions for networked security using real application scenarios for private users and SMEs at its stand at “Security 2018”. The focus is on the Secvest Touch wireless alarm system as the key to security and convenience in home automation solutions. ABUS will also demonstrate how the Secvest Touch can be used in hybrid alarm systems thanks to its enhanced flexibility.

Interconnectivity within the ABUS product family and with external partners, and extendibility within the context of hybrid alarm technology are the core innovations scoring points for the Secvest Touch at “Security” (25-28/09/2018). Home automation solutions with strategic partners can be experienced at the trade fair stand. It is possible to connect lights, blinds and heating to a comprehensive security solution using the smart home platform from digitalSTROM. Security and convenience can thus complement one another perfectly, since, in the event of an alarm, it may prove very useful for shutters to be opened or closed at the same time and for possible escape routes to be illuminated.

In this context, with the I/O module, ABUS is offering a new product for smaller-scale, direct solutions which can also be used for smaller-scale smart home applications – for example, directly controlling a garage door drive by wireless or wired communication. The distance between the I/O module and the Secvest Touch control panel is therefore no longer a problem thanks to wireless communication. The I/O module allows the Secvest Touch to make the step into the field of hybrid alarm technology with up to 20 additional individually identifiable wired zones. And thanks to the access control and video connection, the innovative Secvest Touch is thus the ideal solution for modernisation, retrofitting, new builds and SMEs.

In addition to VDS home certification, the Secvest Touch complies with the security standard EN grade 2 and can thus be funded through the KfW bank. In conjunction with the globally unique mechatronic security components for windows and doors, which can actively prevent and report break-ins, the Secvest Touch is the optimal security solution for every home.

In 2018, the Secvest Touch was awarded the German Design Award 2018 for being the perfect combination of convenience, security and design. Further products from the alarm portfolio at the ABUS trade fair stand 2B11 in hall 2 include the Terxon MX wired alarm panel, which is armed upon request via the wAppLoxx access control system and which can now be operated via app for the first time. This is particularly appealing to commercial users and guarantees a good price-performance ratio.
