SAFETY NOTICE REGARDING THE ABUS SECORIS ALARM CONTROL PANEL

A security vulnerability has been identified in the integrated web server of the ABUS Secoris alarm control panel. Under certain conditions, this could allow unauthorised access to the alarm control panel. For this to occur, the system must be accessible either within a local network or directly via the internet.

ABUS Secoris alarm control panels with firmware versions up to and including v2.02.04 are affected. The available firmware version v2.03.00 closes the identified security vulnerability.

Control panels whose affected web server is accessible neither from the local network nor from the internet are not vulnerable via the described access method.

ABUS is providing a security update in the form of the new firmware version v2.03.00, which closes the identified vulnerability.

Updating the firmware

We recommend that all affected customers have their Secoris alarm control panel updated to the new firmware version v2.03.00 as soon as possible. Please contact your ABUS specialist partner, who will assist you in checking your system and carrying out the update.

At present (31 October 2026), ABUS has no evidence to suggest that the identified vulnerability has already been exploited by unauthorised parties. This security advisory is intended to provide our customers with precautionary information and to ensure that affected systems are secured as soon as possible.

Important note regarding the update to V2.03.00 – please note this urgently: When updating to version 2.03.00 for the first time, it is essential to export the control unit’s event log (logbook/log) beforehand. Once this update is complete, the control unit’s event log will be reset. All subsequent events will then be recorded in the event log as normal.

Changing login details and PIN codes

After the update, existing login details and PIN codes should be changed as a precaution.

Securing network access

Direct access to the alarm control panel via the internet should be avoided. If remote access is required, we recommend using a secure VPN connection.
