Safety information regarding the ABUS Secvest alarm control panel

A security vulnerability has been identified in the integrated web server of the ABUS Secvest alarm control panel. Under certain conditions, this could allow unauthorised access to the alarm control panel. For this to occur, the system must be accessible either within a local network or directly via the internet.

ABUS Secvest alarm control panels with firmware versions up to and including v3.01.31 are affected. Systems with the web server disabled, as well as Secvest 2Way control panels and earlier system generations, are not affected.

ABUS is providing a security update in the form of the new firmware version v3.01.32, which closes the identified vulnerability.

The following security measures are recommended:

Update the firmware

We recommend that all affected customers have their Secvest alarm control panel updated to the new firmware version v3.01.32 as soon as possible. To do this, please contact your ABUS specialist partner, who will assist you in checking your system and carrying out the update.

Change login details and PIN codes

After the update, existing login details and PIN codes should be changed as a precaution.

Secure network access

Direct access to the alarm control panel via the internet should be avoided. If remote access is necessary, we recommend using a secure VPN connection.

As of today (31 October 2026), ABUS has no evidence to suggest that the identified vulnerability has already been exploited by unauthorised parties. This security advisory is intended to provide our customers with precautionary information and to enable them to secure affected systems as soon as possible.
