More light – better images
In order to record clear images even in the dark, cameras need (infrared) light. The semi-discrete IR Illuminator M provides cameras with the necessary light even in absolute darkness. The IR LEDs provide infrared light for night recordings with a wavelength of 850 nm. The IR illuminator is suitable for both black/white and day/night cameras.
Can also be used in extreme weather conditions
The range of the IR illuminator depends on the light sensitivity of the camera. The range is approx. 12 metres at 0.1 lux and up to 24 metres at 0.01 lux. The beam angle is 60° (horizontal). The IR Illuminator M is dustproof and protected against powerful water jets (IP66). It can therefore be used outdoors at temperatures between -30°C and +40°C without any problems. Its maximum power consumption is 8 watts.
Automatic switching – semi-discrete LEDs
The IR illuminator uses an integrated photo sensor to detect twilight or darkness and then switches on automatically. If the brightness is sufficient, e.g. due to daylight, it switches itself off. The IR Illuminator M 850nm, 60° is a semi-discrete IR illuminator. At approx. 850 nm, the wavelength of this illuminator is slightly shorter than the wavelength (940 nm) of a discrete illuminator of the same type. The advantage of the semi-discrete illuminator is its greater range. Only in the immediate vicinity of the illuminator is the reddish glow of its LEDs faintly visible.
Thanks to the variable voltage input of 12-24 AC/DC, the IR illuminator can be operated with both AC and DC current.
