THE FASTEST CHAPTER YET INTRODUCING THE TIMESHIFTER

Engineered with the fastest minds. Crafted for those who refuse to follow. Proven to be faster.

Marlen Reusser powers to her first World Championship title in Rwanda – conquering the time trial in 43:09.34, with an incredible 51.89-second lead. Trusted protection, proven on the world stage.

Developed together with Swiss Side, the benchmark in cycling aerodynamics, the TimeShifter is our fastest TT helmet ever – built on transparent data, relentless testing, and proof instead of promises.

It’s not available to the public just yet. That’s no accident – it’s part of the process. Real race feedback is shaping the final product.

The result? A launch next year with zero compromises. Have you spotted it already?

Designing a time trial helmet is one of the toughest tasks in cycling. Aerodynamic performance depends on countless variables – body shape, riding position, race conditions. The “fastest helmet” for one rider may perform very differently for another. Too often, sweeping promises are built on isolated data points.

We chose a different path. Instead of shortcuts, we relied on science:

  • 112 CFD simulations
  • 194 wind tunnel runs
  • 39 velodrome tests

Each trial, in multiple setups, with different athletes. Every result cross-checked, refined, and validated. The outcome is not a custom-fit solution for a single rider – but the fastest ABUS helmet for the widest range of athletes and racing situations.

What happens when ABUS joins forces with Swiss Side? The result is a helmet designed not just to feel fast – but to be measurably faster.

For the aerodynamic development of the TimeShifter, ABUS partnered with Swiss Side – a high-performance team with roots in Formula 1 and a track record of shaping world-leading aero products in triathlon and cycling.

Power in Partnership

This collaboration is about more than technical co-branding. It stands for a new kind of transparency: with the 2026 launch of the TimeShifter, ABUS will not just present a helmet, but back it with a Performance Paper – sharing results from wind tunnels, CFD simulations, and head-to-head tests against other helmets. Transparent, proven, repeatable.

The TimeShifter marks the next stage of science in helmet development at ABUS. It embodies a mindset: uncompromising in methodology, honest in feedback, open in collaboration. Performance reached a new level of precision. Every gain is validated, every design decision grounded in data.
