The lens is a crucial component for professional use of megapixel cameras (such as the TVIP51500 and TVIP51550 model) and is indispensable for making full use of the possibilities of megapixel technology. It regulates the incidence of light on the camera’s image sensor and ensures optimal exposure for your megapixel images. All lenses have a standard mounting thread. The crucial differentiating characteristics of the megapixel lenses are the respective angle of view (98°–35° with the 1/3’’ image sensor, 71°–26° with the 1/4’’ image sensor) and the focal length (variable from 2.9 to 8.2 mm). The greater the focal length, the narrower the angle of view and the nearer you can zoom in on the image. The aspherical lenses provide especially high-quality images; the high edge clarity in comparison to other (megapixel) lenses reliably prevents poor focusing at the edges. The lens also features a light yield with a value that ensures undimmed visibility up to the edge of the image. Thanks to the auto-iris function, the incidence of light through the aperture is automatically adjusted to the respective lighting additions – something that is very advantageous in rooms in which lighting levels can suddenly change (reception areas, entry areas, etc.). The CS mount lenses can be easily mounted on any camera. The TVAC65100 lens is recommended for the TVIP51500 and TVIP51550 cameras for use without IR light.
