IPCS10020
The Dual Flex Encoder serves as an IP camera for hidden surveillance. It is used in conjunction with up to two mini camera modules, making their video signals available as network streams.
Hidden surveillance
The encoder is hidden behind a wall or ceiling or inside a device (e.g. a cash machine). It does not need to have a view of the surveillance area, because it is linked via cable to a camera module. Wall and ceiling mounting are both possible, and power can be supplied via network cable (PoE).
Camera module with 8 m cable for various locations
The camera module, with a 2.8 mm tube lens or 3.7 mm pinhole lens, acts just like an eye, and comes in designs suitable for every installation location (behind a wall or ceiling, inside a shaft or machine). The module is installed in a hidden location with a view of the surveillance area through a hole in the wall, ceiling, device casing etc. The module is connected to the encoder via a cable which allows for flexible installation.
Compatible camera module
The Dual Flex Encoder is compatible with the modules IPCS10001, IPCS10002 and IPCS10003. An encoder can be operated with 2 modules at a time, which are available as accessories.
Compact design, high HD image quality
Despite the camera module's small size, the encoder produces HD video streams with 1280 x 720 pixels at a seamless 25 frames per second. One video channel has strong image optimisation (True WDR, 3D DNR) for the detection of people etc. against backlighting, such as when used in a cash machine (True WDR channel for camera module in the central console, second channel for another module e.g. at the side to monitor cash dispensing).
Two-way communication with 2WAY Audio
A two-way communication function is made possible by the loudspeaker and microphone connection (3.5 mm jack).
A variety of applications
In conjunction with the tiny camera modules, the encoder is ideal for a variety of applications, e.g. the hidden surveillance of indoor spaces in banks, shops, hotels or lifts.
