PREVARO™ 10 FIRE SAFETY FOR KITCHENS, ETC.

Many house fires start in the kitchen – exactly where smoke alarms often trigger false alarms. The PREVARO 10 reacts to heat instead of smoke and is therefore ideal for the kitchen, garage, cellar, attic, bathroom or mobile home.

The heat alarm, which like smoke alarms should be replaced after 10 years of operation, is powered by a permanently installed 10-year battery – there is no need to replace the batteries.

The PREVARO 10 heat alarm impresses with its reliable alarm triggering and pleasantly unobtrusive appearance – even the status LED is located under the housing and only shines through discreetly. The Kitemark certificate confirms continuous quality control of the BS 5446-2 certified heat alarm. In addition, an automatic self-test regularly checks the battery and sensors. The large and easy-to-use test button is used for manual testing.

Heat alarm function: the alarm reacts when a critical heat limit (54–65 °C) is reached – ideal for kitchens, garages and other rooms exposed to steam or smoke
Battery: the alarm is equipped with a permanently installed CR123A battery with a service life of up to 10 years – smoke and heat alarms should be replaced after 10 years of use
Acoustic and visual alarm: in the event of danger, the alarm issues a clearly audible warning with a loud alarm tone and by flashing the status LED
Translucent LED: for a pleasant lighting effect, the status LED is located under the housing of the alarm – for a harmonious look without glaring points of light
Mute: the alarm tone can be temporarily switched off by pressing the test button – the alarm remains active and issues an alarm tone again after 10 minutes if there is still a critical temperature
Large-area test button: almost the entire underside of the alarm serves as a button and can be reached quickly for a function test – with a broom handle or rod, for example
Automatic self-test: silently checks the battery and sensors every 8 seconds
Simple screw mounting: the alarm's mounting plate is attached to the ceiling with screws and dowels (included in the scope of delivery)
Tested and certified to BS 5446-2: the alarm fulfils the requirements of the British standard for heat alarms – certified by the British Standards Institution (BSI)
