The Mercedes-Benz Stern-Center Regensburg is an established Mercedes-Benz partner in Eastern Bavaria. Sales, the service shop, vehicle preparation, the warehouse, and administration work closely together across multiple locations. As the company grew, so did its security requirements: access permissions needed to be flexibly adjustable, multiple locations had to be centrally managed, and the security solution had to remain scalable at all times.
In collaboration with ABUS and GP FINEST SOLUTION, an integrated security concept was implemented to address these needs.
Electronic Access Control with wAppLoxx Pro Plus
At the heart of the new solution is the wAppLoxx Pro Plus electronic access control system, for which hundreds of electronic lock cylinders and wall-mounted readers were installed.
Access rights for doors, gates, and other entry points can be managed centrally, adjusted with just a few clicks, and take effect immediately. New employees quickly receive the necessary permissions, while former employees or lost transponders can be deactivated immediately—without having to replace lock cylinders.
This flexibility offers a decisive advantage, especially for a company with multiple branches. All locations can be managed via a shared system platform while remaining individually configurable within the integrated software.

Video Surveillance for a Comprehensive Overview
In addition to access control, an extensive installation of ABUS IP cameras protects the entire company premises.
The cameras monitor access roads, parking areas, workshop areas, warehouses, and other security-sensitive zones. Incidents can be quickly traced using intelligent event search and object recognition, and managers can maintain an overview even across multiple locations.

FaceXess for Subleased Premises
For subleased spaces in the new main building, the FaceXess video door intercom system serves as an innovative access solution and offers various options for granting access.
